The MAI launched its Scientific Network (MAI-SN) on May 21, 2010. The objective is to create a strong and permanent linkk between the Institute and the international scientific community on material ageing and related energy issues. About 40 scientists participated in the kick-off meeting of the MAI-SN. This new network brings together many partners within the MAI: the Universities of Manchester (UK), Tohoku (Japan), MIT and Michigan (USA) as well as numerous French universities and Engineering Schools. The aim is to create a strong and permanent link with the academic world to share ideas and methods, thus continually improving our knowledge. Within the MAI-SN, not only exchange of scientific ideas but also cross training sessions are provided to improve the quality and credibility of research results in field of material ageing.
